What is TheiGroup?

We are a regional business directory dedicated to supporting local businesses throughout the country. We currently have 44 local business directories targeted at a local level from Dorset to Shropshire enabling you to target customers in your local area.

How much does it cost?

Absolutely nothing! Our basic listings will always remain free and make up the majority of the submissions our editors process.

How do I get my own business page?

Each successful listing application regardless of whether the listing is free or enhanced gets their own business page on our directory. Apply now

I have registered but not received an account activation email...

Please ensure the email address you have entered is correct, working and contains no typo's. It's also worth checking your spam/junk email folder in the unlikely event your email software has classified our email as spam.

I have forgotten my password

Please use our password recovery feature at http://advertising.theigroup.co.uk/password.php.

If our system indicates that the address you have entered is not on our system you may not be signed up yet, all listings published prior to March 1st would require registering an account to edit a listing as we have moved to a registration based system.

I can't login

We recently upgraded our application process to a login based system, any users listing their business before 1st March 2009 will have to create a new account and claim their listing in order to edit it. If you have registered an account however lost your password please use our password recovery tool at http://advertising.theigroup.co.uk/password.php.

How do I change my username / email address?

You can edit your email address in the 'update details' section of the advertising centre once logged in.

You can edit your password in the 'update details' section of the advertising centre once logged in.

What happens once I have signed up?

Once you have successfully registered an account, you will then receive an email as confirmation of this which will include your login details which you should save somewhere safe in case you need it.

How do I list my business?

Listing your business is very simple, once you have registered an account simply click the 'my listings' link and follow the step by step instructions.

How long does it take for my details to be reviewed?

Typically the process takes up to one week but depending on demand can take anything up to one month at times of exceptional demand. You will receive an email confirmation when your listing has gone live.

How do I edit or change my business details?

You can update your listing either by logging in to the advertising centre, selecting 'my listings' and clicking the edit link or by following the 'update information' link from the company profile page you wish to update.

How can I improve my presence on TheiGroup?

We provide enhanced listings for £59.95 per year which provides the following benefits over basic listings:

  • Priority placement in our search results
  • Your company logo appears on profile and search result pages
  • No block Google ad on your profile page
  • Link to your company on competing basic profiles in your industry
  • Live statistics for your listings
  • Unrestrictive company description
  • Enhanced message centre
  • Unrestricted job & discount listings

We have also now introduced a points based ranking system for all free profiles. We want to ensure our users see the best quality, most up to date profiles first and that's why we now rank free listings in a points system depending on various factors detailed below which enhance the quality of your business profile.

  • Showing opening hours
  • Completing a company description & directional notes.
  • Filled in payment types and additional information about your business.
  • Having a recently updated profile.
  • Linking back to i-xxxx from your company website.
  • Uploading photos to your listing.
  • Posting your job vacancies into our job manager.
  • Posting a company discount.

It should also be noted this does not affect the enhanced listing functionality in any way, by purchasing an enhanced listing upgrade your business listing will still appear above all free profiles.

What happens once I've completed my listing application?

Once you've completed the application process successfully you will receive an email notification to confirm your submission and then a further email once the application has been accepted by our editing team with the listing details.

There is no suitable category for my business.

If you find no matches coming back in the category search box you should try broadening your search, or trying alternative classifications your business could be recognised as. If you need to change the category your business is located under this can be done via our 'update information' service or alternatively the edit listing from our advertising centre.

You say my business name is not valid.

Our forms do not allow special characters, if you are getting this error message please remove any of these characters from your business title and try again.

Can my business be listed in multiple categories?

We don't allow businesses to add their listing to multiple categories; such listings will be rejected and may result in the original listings being removed also.

My location isn't displayed correctly on the sign up form.

When completing our application process we automatically detect your county and town via the postcode you enter on the initial page, in border towns it can sometimes assign an incorrect town/county in which case you should manually edit the county and town on your listing.

I'm a mobile business. How do I display my mobile number?

We do have fields for both mobile and regular telephone numbers, however the main telephone number is mandatory and therefore if you are a genuine mobile business you should enter your mobile number in this field.

My Business has multiple offices, is it ok to create two listings?

This is ok providing the second listing is for a separate office location for your business, for example if you had branches in separate towns. What we don't allow is businesses to add their listing to multiple categories; such listings will be rejected and may result in the original listings being removed also.

My postcode is rejected during the signup process

Postcodes need to be entered in the normal format, for example BH9 2EN. An invalid postcode will result in rejection of the listing.

How long will my business listing remain active?

All business details are held on our systems for as long as you wish, you may edit or remove your listing at any time.

Can I add my business if I am outside of the UK?

Currently we do not cater for businesses outside England although this may change in the near future so keep checking back.

How do I list my products and services?

We advise you briefly list you businesses services in the description field of your listing.

I am a franchisee. Can I sign up?

Yes, providing the business doesn't already have a listing on our business directory.

How do I edit or change my business details?

You can update your listing either by logging in to the advertising centre, selecting 'my listings' and clicking the edit link or by following the 'update information' link from the company profile page you wish to update.

The map displayed isn't correct

In rare cases the map shown can be inaccurate, if this happens please contact us including the full listing url and also a correct map reference (such as google maps) so our editing team can correct the map for you.

Can I hide my location and map?

No, the mapping and directions feature are an integral part of our business directory. If you do not wish your businesses location to be displayed you should not apply for a listing.

Changes I have made are not appearing on the site

As with new submissions, any changes you make need to be approved by our editing team before they can be published on the website, you will not receive an email confirmation that the changes have been applied but the process usually takes up to one week.

Can I remove my location and map from my profile page?

No, the mapping and directions feature are an integral part of our business directory. If you do not wish your businesses location to be displayed you should not apply for a listing.

Can I stop receiving emails from the site?

You can unsubscribe from our newsletters at any time, simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.

Which email address do my business enquiries get sent to?

You have the option of either having enquiries sent to your adcentre registration email address or a custom email address, please see the option when completing the application.

I have tried to upload my logo but it isn't on display.

We only allow company logos for enhanced listings, however if you have a free listing and upgrade it we will have your logo on file should you upload it during the application process.

I can't complete my company profile

If you would like to report an error with our application process please contact us with a full, detailed description of the problem and steps needed to produce this error, including screenshots if possible.

I can't find my business on the site.

From the date your listing has been approved by our editing team your business will not be searchable until the following morning as our search indexes are created daily. If you cannot find your business in the category page it may be because there are many businesses listed in that category and your business is listed on the latter pages which you can access using the next page link.

It is a requirement for all businesses signing up to have a valid address.
